Every effort has been made to ensure that the specifications in this catalogue are correct at the time of going to print, however technical data, dimensions and weights serve as a guide only. Sometimes product specifications may change, in such instances we'll do our very best to inform you when placing your order. All our sizes and measurements are approximate but we do try to make sure they are as accurate as possible. No guarantee is given or implied that goods will confirm in absolute detail to the description or illustrations published.
For your extra peace of mind all purchases are covered by our 14 day exchange or money back guarantee (excluding any carriage charges incurred). If you change your mind for whatever reason, return the unused item(s) in their original packaging to 'Ashtique' accompanied with the receipt / invoice and we will be pleased to offer you an exchange or refund - no hassles, for your total peace of mind however you must notify us immediately of your decision via e-mail or phone.
All Ashtique jewellery is covered by a limited lifetime guarantee against any manufacturers defect. All items of jewellery supplied are carefully checked for defects before being delivered. Within 30 days of receiving your product, you should also carefully check to make sure everything is in order and satisfy yourself that there are no manufacturer’s defects. We do recommend that you have your pieces professionally cleaned and all settings re-checked by a professional jeweller every 6 - 12 months to ensure their integrity from daily wear or inadvertent knocks. If you do decide to have your jewellery cleaned or repaired by a third party in any way then Ashtiques guarantee will be void and no longer valid. Ashtiques term & conditions will be invalidated and your guarantee will no longer apply as we cannot be responsible for a third party that has no affiliation Ashtique and has for example sized, repaired, the setting adjusted or modified, engravings added etc. It should be recognised that, with daily wear and over time, stones can sometimes work loose and even become dislodged. In the unfortunate event that this happens, the lifetime warranty will cover the labour only repair of the item of jewellery. If a stone does fall out and you have the stone, we will repair the item free of charge, but you are responsible for the shipping fees to and from us. If a stone falls out and you lose it, you are responsible for the cost of the new stone to be replaced and the shipping fee to and from us. Usually your insurance policy will cover damage to your ring as a result of an accidental knock or inadvertent misfortune which has damaged the ring in this way.
Gems and Semi precious Stones
Ashtique will always guarantee your Gem stone to be natural and NOT synthetic or Lab Created. Gem stones are treated and many of these treatments are accepted. However some are forged together to show a different colour from it original by 2 or 3 pieces of glass and stone are fixed together to change its original form e.c.t and these treatments are not accepted by Ashtique and also by the industry in general. Only endorsed treatments that are accepted in the trade are accepted by Ashtique. Please ask before purchasing regarding your specific gemstone as we will be happy to assist you
All our diamonds are Conflict Free. We request this in writing from our suppliers and those that fail to do so or are found out or proven by a court of law THAT THE DIAMONDS SUPPLIED ATE NOT CONFLICT FREE then all connection and dealings are severed with Ashtique instantly. We at Ashtique believe in the Kimberley process,What is the Kimberley Process?
In 2002, fifty-two governments ratified the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme (KPCS), with the aim of eliminating the trade in conflict diamonds. KPCS requires that:
All rough diamonds crossing an international border should be:
(i) transported in a tamper-resistant container
(ii) accompanied by a government-validated Kimberley Process Certificate
Each certificate should be resistant to forgery, uniquely numbered and describe the shipment's contents; and
Shipments are only permitted between KPCS participant countries.
How successful has it been?
The Kimberley Process has reduced the trade in conflict diamonds, but the problem has not been eliminated.
Diamonds produced in conflict zones are simply smuggled to neighbouring regions to be certified. Worse still, diamonds from Zimbabwe are Kimberley-certified despite the army having seized control of the mines, leaving many dead and forcing people to work under threat of violence.
We guarantee that we only use conflict-free diamonds
At Ashtique we can make this guarantee because we only source diamonds that we can trace all the way back to the mine.
Most jewellers will tell you that their diamonds are Kimberley-certified and therefore conflict-free diamonds. Unfortunately the Kimberley Process does not provide this guarantee: conflict diamonds from the rebel-held north of Cote d'Ivoire and from eastern DRC are still entering the market, and diamonds from Zimbabwe remain Kimberley-certified despite the army taking control of the mines in 2009 by raping and killing, and forcing people to work under the threat of violence.
We guarantee that our conflict-free diamonds are also ethical diamonds
A large proportion of the worlds diamonds, even conflict-free diamonds, are cut and polished by children working in sweatshop conditions in India and China. We only source conflict-free diamonds that have been mined, cut and polished without exploitative working practices, and with due care to minimise any impact on the environment.
